Hi there,
Today I am going to tell you about my experience with varicose veins.
I’ve been getting phlebosclerosis since I was 18 years old. I went to a dermatologist every month and the session was hard because the liquid they injected burned.
I have these small veins that are not a health problem. It’s more of an “aesthetic” thing. There are other serious cases where people must have surgery to remove clogged veins.
When I went to live in Spain, I decided to inject myself at a place called Centros Único, which was the same place where I had laser hair removal. The session cost 122 euros and they did it every 3 months. The doctor always told me that it was not worth it because I had almost nothing. When I got the injections, I didn’t feel anything when the liquid entered the vein and since I didn’t notice any improvement, I didn’t go back.
When I lived in Almusafes I tried the Tecma Clinic. I also felt nothing with the injections, and the doctor seemed incompetent. The session was cheaper (50 euros), but it was a scam because he only did 5 punctures. I didn’t come back either.
I inquired at the Ricart Medical Institute in Valencia. They charged 120 euros to do an echo to tell you the treatment they recommended.
Regenero3 Clinic followed me on IG, and I was surprised that a clinic in Spain handled the digital media so well since companies there don’t even know how to handle social networks.
I asked directly about the laser as I thought it was the only thing that could remove my small veins. Ramiro explained to me that the laser hurts a lot and that it also only worked on very dark veins, that it did nothing on light veins and there was a risk of leaving a spot on the skin. He did phlebosclerosis, which was what gave the best results, and he invited me to a free evaluation.
He checked my legs with a red light, which no one had ever done. He showed me that small veins are usually fed by a larger vein that lies below and is not normally seen. We agreed to do a session. We would wait a month, since it is the minimum that the treatment takes to take effect, and we would see if I needed more sessions.
Each session cost 80 euros and it also goes for a certain measure of liquid. Of course, I had never had so many injections in a single session.
The doctor explained that diosmin helps if your blood is thick, but if your blood is fine, it doesn’t do any harm; so one can take it without any problem. He also recommended that I buy compression stockings to wear on the day I got phlebosclerosis and on flights of more than two hours.
When he injected me, the sensation was the same as in Venezuela: burning when the liquid enters. All the parts where he injected were swollen and then bruised for two weeks.
After the bruises were removed, the improvement was evident; Even the small veins that bothered me the most and that no one had been able to remove were gone.
I did 3 sessions in a row. The recommendation was to return after 6 months to see if any maintenance session needed to be done. Now I go once a year to do a maintenance session.
What you need to know about varicose veins:
- They are a genetic condition, and they will continue to come out even if they are injected.
- Whether they come out will depend on your lifestyle: if you eat healthy, if you are overweight, if you exercise, if you sunbathe a lot, if you sit or stand for a long time, the type of footwear you wear, if you drink a lot of water, etc.
- You will have to take diosmina always. I take one a day and some people take two (depending on how severe the varicose veins are).
- Compression stockings should be used when necessary.
- Depending on the severity of your condition and how much it can bother you to see varicose veins, you will have to have phlebosclerosis every 6 months or every year.
