The deceptive and disgusting hotel of the first night in Istanbul

Hi there,

Our flight arrived in Istanbul around 9:00 p.m. and the next day we left for Dalaman; so, we had to spend a night in Istanbul.

The airport hotel was expensive and then there were several within 15 minutes that didn’t look bad. We booked at the Lily Airport Hotel for 30 euros per night. The taxi driver didn’t even know where the hotel was. When we arrived, we realized that all the photos on booking.com were fake.

The room was big but horrible and dirty.

It had no heating, and the window was half broken and could not be closed.

The elevator had no door.

Wi-Fi never worked.

The worst thing is that the shower was broken. When I went to shower, water started coming out everywhere. We called reception and they went up to see; They said they would be back in 5 minutes and never came back. I went downstairs in hysterics and made a fuss in front of other guests who were just checking-in. Another girl came up and half left it arranged so that we could shower.

The next day breakfast was served in front of the reception and there were only two tables. We ate disgustingly.

We grabbed our things and when we were leaving, a guy came to tell us to wait 5 minutes. Diego was still going to wait. I told him no, that we had already paid and that we had to go. Obviously, the man did not understand anything because he did not speak English.

The absurd thing is that this hotel had almost a 10 rating on booking.com.

During that day an email arrived from booking.com saying that the property had notified that we had not shown up and that is why the reservation was cancelled. We realized that it was a strategy so that we could not leave negative reviews.

I left them negative reviews with photos and videos on TripAdvisor and Google.
