It has happened to me lately that I am contacted by Instagram or by e-mail to tell me that they love my profile and offer me a position as an ambassador for their brand. Therefore, they give me a 75% discount on all their products and what I must do is tag the brand in a photo where I am wearing their clothes.
The first time they contacted me I went to the website to see the prices of the clothes and a shirt was not less than $300, so with the discount they gave me, it was not cheap either.
The funniest thing is that I don’t even have 1,000 followers on Instagram and people who are brand ambassadors usually have more than 10k. In addition, brand ambassadors receive the clothes for free and they are paid for the post.
Another time that they contacted me was by e-mail and it was the typical template that shows that they have sent it en masse and focuses on how wonderful the brand is and the clothes they sell.
I was surprised by this new form of commerce since it is not the typical message that you send directly to spam.
People who must sell in companies have devised this way of doing it, I don’t know if it will give them results or not, but it is not the typical spam we are used to.
