Hi there,
Following the trend of taking advantage of the weekends to see new places, one Sunday when we finally had the energy to wake up at 6 in the morning, we visited the Escalona Reservoir.
After the disaster of the Tous Dam (which I told you about in a previous post) they also made a dam for this river because it was one of the tributaries that caused the Tous dam to break in the year 82.
It is close to the Tous Reservoir, but it took us twice as long because you must go around more.
When we arrived, there were groups of Romanian fishermen who apparently had spent the night there or had arrived at dawn.
We inflated the paddle board and got in. The water temperature was ideal, and it was super calm, like a swimming pool. The only thing is that there was no visibility to swim, so Diego had to stick his head out to see where to go.
At 10:30 the Spanish families began to arrive to kayak, and the place got too loud and crowded. So, we packed up our things, took the photos and left.
That day was cloudy and in summer it is something that is appreciated, because in Spain between July and August, you burn.
