When we had a bad experience at the ANC Resort in São Miguel, I was talking to Diego about how incredible it was that we hadn’t found a hotel or Airbnb for years that was at least clean. I thought then that it was necessary to do justice to those few impeccable accommodations that we had found during our travels.
Here they are in no order of importance:
Verona Lodge – Verona
This accommodation is on Airbnb and on booking.com. Sara, the owner, has several apartments. For us it was a breather after the horror we had gone through in Venice.
It was immaculate, well located, it had amenities (soap, shampoo, pasta, coffee, dishwasher tablets, etc.), it was comfortable, excellent internet, Netflix, the kitchen was perfectly equipped.
It only lacked a work area, but surely, if one stays for a long time, Sara would have no problem placing desks and office chairs.

Seven Crowns – Cabo San Lucas
After having fled from a horrible place in La Paz that can’t even be called a hotel, we arrived at this marvel.
It was super cheap for us because it was low season and almost everything was impeccable. They had some avocado and almond amenities that we always remember.
This hotel has 3 stars and is even better than many 4 stars that we have booked lately.

Chaac Calakmul – Xpujil
It is a family house in which rooms have been built and they also have a more secluded complex of cabins.
Although it is a humble and simple place, it was impeccably clean, and the hospitality was second to none. We always remember this stay with great affection.

Hotel Aguila Real – Palenque
I think this hotel was the cheapest of all the trips we made to Mexico.
We stayed in a room that was new and spotless (I couldn’t find the exact photo on the internet). The bathroom was nice and spacious, there was drinking water outside the room, and they did daily cleaning.

London Visitors Hotel – Londres
I put this photo because it is exactly the room in which I stayed.
It was very cheap for London and the hospitality was wonderful.
The room was incredibly isolated, not a fly to be heard. The bedroom door weighed a ton and then there was another super heavy door that separated the bedroom from the bathroom.
Although the bathroom was small, it was new and immaculate.
In addition, they did a deep daily cleaning.
Breakfast was also excellent.
On booking.com it says that this hotel has 2 stars, but it is much better than all the 4-star hotels I’ve been to lately.

NH – Valencia
This really is a 4-star hotel. I stayed her for 2 weeks with my dad in January 2015 and the night cost us 40 euros.
Apart from being impeccable and having excellent qualities, the room was huge and with a gigantic wardrobe.
I didn’t find the photo of the exact room where I stayed; it was way bigger from what you see in this picture.

Apartamento estudio Millamì-Grazioso – Cagliari
After coming from the horror that was Malta and the disgusting apartment we stayed in, this Airbnb was heaven.
It was immaculate, it had many amenities and even all the carpets were freshly washed.

Apartamento da Maria – Funchal
The best thing about this accommodation was undoubtedly María. Years go by and we continue to hope to find a host who is like her. This apartment was unbeatable in every way.

Hotel Valkarana – Sardinia
On booking.com it has 4 stars and in general, it deserves it.
The hotel was in the middle of the mountain facing a lake. Breakfast was plentiful and varied; In addition, they prepared a lot of vegan sweets and cappuccino for us.
The room was immaculate, although the furniture was old.
I was surprised that the daily cleaning was thorough, and they even moved all the furniture.
