In Portugal, even Amazon works badly

Hi there,

Just when we thought we had seen it all in Porto, even Amazon gives incompetent service and censors the review.

During the days of Amazon Prime in the summer, we bought a computer from LG that came with an operating system. When it arrives, we realize that it comes without an operating system.

Diego immediately contacted Amazon customer service to request the replacement and shipment of a computer that was really as indicated in the ad.

The Amazon agent made light of the fact that what the seller had done was an attempted scam and the only solution offered was a return and refund of the money.

In this way, Diego lost the Amazon Prime offer.

Diego was outraged above all by the lack of empathy and interest from the person who was taking care of him and told her that it was a good thing he was honest because what he should do was buying the computer with the operating system at a price without a discount and then return the one we had now.

Once again, the Amazon agent was still uninterested.

We returned the computer, and it took weeks for the refund to arrive, which has never happened to us with Amazon, since the refund arrives immediately as soon as they pick it up.

When they finally returned the money, after opening cases daily for days to ask what was wrong, we realized that 6 euros were missing.

It turns out that the incompetent person who had attended Diego had placed that the reason for the return was that Diego had not liked the product and for that reason we had a penalty.

We couldn’t believe it. We would have expected that from any company but Amazon.

Diego opened a case for the umpteenth time and insisted that they read the chat with the agent who had lied about the reason for the return.

They said they would escalate it; we didn’t get any response.

Diego began to send several emails daily and always received the same template as a response; they weren’t even reading what he wrote.

The worst thing is that he posted the review to the seller, and it was not published because “it did not meet Amazon’s parameters.” In addition to a mediocre service, they censor the freedom of expression of customers.

Who is going to trust Amazon product reviews now?

We were like this for a week until we decided to file a claim with the European Commission.

A few days later, he received an email in which it said that as an “exception” they gave him a gift coupon of 6 euros.

Once again, it is outrageous that a company gives such an incompetent service and makes you waste such an amount of time for 6 miserable euros.

You are totally right. It is difficult to deal with the fact that nothing works and it is because people don’t complain.
